Two FMH Titles at Your Service

Our practice covers a wide range of specialties.

Dr. Pierre Allemann holds an FMH title in General Surgery. This includes all conditions requiring surgical intervention. This specialty is quite broad and covers basic surgery, such as:
– colon, intestine, stomach, gallbladder
– abdominal hernias (umbilical or inguinal)
– proctologic surgery (hemorrhoids, anal fistulas)
– basic thoracic surgery
– varicose vein surgery
– various minor procedures, such as skin biopsies, scar revisions, lymph node biopsies, sacrococcygeal cysts…

In addition to this basic training, Dr. Allemann has also specialized in the management of diseases of the digestive system:
– Esophagus
– Stomach
– Intestine, colon
– Liver
– Pancreas

He has thus obtained a second FMH title in advanced training in Visceral Surgery.

Following this already extensive training, Dr. Allemann developed a particular interest in esophageal and gastric surgery. He then trained in this highly specialized field at leading European centers (Strasbourg, Amsterdam), within high-performing teams at the forefront of surgical techniques. Thanks to this advanced training, Dr. Allemann can now offer this type of surgery within two exceptional clinics in Lausanne.

In parallel, Dr. Allemann discovered robotic surgery early on at IRCAD in Strasbourg. He learned to master this remarkable machine and to take full advantage of the many benefits of this technology. He also contributed to research in this highly promising field. Thanks to this experience, Dr. Allemann can also offer, in selected cases, robot-assisted surgery using the Da Vinci system, available in both Lausanne clinics.
